Mojo moves with Hard Rock Calling and Wireless

Mojo Barriers Hard Rock Calling 2013 Mojo Barriers is supplying its patented stage barriers to Hard Rock Calling and Wireless Festival for the tenth year, following the Live Nation events to their new location in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, July 2013.

This year a brand new festival has also been added to the run. The Insomniac and Cream-affiliated Electric Daisy Carnival takes place on 20July and will see some of the world’s top dance acts entertain the crowd.

Mojo Barriers’ team, lead by UK general manager Jim Gaffney, installed 540m of its industry-recognised  aluminium barriers across the main stage plus stages three and four for Hard Rock Calling, which took place from 29-30 June with headliners Kasabian and Bruce Springsteen.

Wireless Festival, featuring Jay Z and Justin Timberlake, takes place from 12-14 July and will see Mojo install an extra 300m for stage two, adding a secondary barricade line in front of the main stage to provide additional crowd control support. The same configuration will be used at Electric Daisy Carnival, which makes its first UK debut following five years of successful festivals in the US.

Mojo Barrier’s stock is left in site throughout the run of events, which includes an exclusive performance from folk stars Mumford & Sons on 6th July. All events utilise Mojo’s bar barrier system with 130m used across public bars and concessions.

Jim Gaffney comments: “We’re very pleased to continue our relationship with Live Nation as they move to the new site on the Olympic Park. We worked on the park last year for London 2012 so know the site well. It’s been a seamless move and the new venue has presented very few challenges with regards to installation.”
