FestivalsOct 2006 - V Festival US safe with
Mojo Barriers

The Mojo Barriers US office was proud to supply barriers to the first American V Festival. V Festival has become one of the UK’s most successful festivals (this year they attracted 130,000 to the two sites) and local US promoters I.M.P. worked with Virgin to bring the European festival to the US.

V Festival USV Festival opened its party doors for the first time in Baltimore Maryland's Pimlico Race Course, September 06, and among the performers were The Killers, The Who, and The Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Mojo Barriers US provided barrier in 3 areas to ensure good crowd safety across the site. The main stage used 900feet of aluminium barrier, with a thrust out to the FOH mixing position dividing the crowd, with further barriers securing the camera positions and delay towers. An additional 200feet of Mojo Barrier was then used on the smaller B-Stage and DJ Tent.

Other festivals supplied by Mojo Barriers this summer included a series of concerts held on Randalls Island in New York City.  In July 500 feet of barrier was installed on the island, where it remained for several weeks, providing security for Dave Matthews and the Amsterjam Festival.

This past summer also saw the addition of the OZZFEST festivals to the roster.  For 5 weeks, beginning San Fancisco, California and ending in Bristow, Virginia, Mojo Barriers secured the B-Stage forming an inner pit and secondary barrier line.  Production employed Mojo when the festivals founder/headliner Ozzy Ozbourne played at the festivals B-Stage.
