Nov 2006 - Mojo Barriers win with NFL  
 

For the third time Mojo Barriers US supplied the barriers for the free show to commemorate the opening game of the 2006 NFL season, which this year was between the Pittsburg Steelers and the Miami Dolphins.

Among the artists were Diddy (AKA Puff Daddy) Rascal and Cassie, performing on a specially built stage and production (with barriers) located (for the first time) on the sand of South Beach, Miami.

Mojo Barriers US Manager JB Dolphin looked after the project team, installing over 1,100 feet of Mojo Aluminium Barrier to secure this untraditional site.

JB said: “This is a very prestigious show with a large audience and whilst preparations were not that different to working on a grass site, we took care to level the area on the sand, mindful that to make the foundations as solid as possible.
“One of the important factors to the safety of this show came from the design of the Mojo Barrier, which is a rigid system, whereas other systems would have sunk and the hinged diamond tread plate could have caused serious problems.”

Despite poor weather, with hurricanes looming off the coast, production staff battled delays in schedules and the event was declared a huge success by all involved.
