An estimated 80,000 fans visited the city for the prestigious sporting finals and they were entertained by Nick Lachey and Hoobastank who headlined Saturday’s pep rally on Monument Circle, and local star John Mellencamp headlined the packed Sunday night concert to celebrate the basketball final. Careful attention was taken, working with the client on the barrier design as the site had not been used for a concert before and it was important to protect the historic national treasure. Whilst ensuring minimum impact on sensitive monument to create a safe site the barrier configuration included a front of stage circle and a thrust extended to connect the front barrier to the mixer position, giving security and technicians good access through the dense crowd. |
