Mojo Barriers demonstrated its long-distance logistical skills when it played a key role at an event which has become a Dutch tradition during recent Olympic Games.
This is a tradition which Holland has staged since the Barcelona Olympic Games in 1992. Fans traditionally enter the free event by showing a Dutch passport, although other nationalities are admitted if capacity allows. This year, the Holland Heineken House was sited in China’s former Ministry of Agriculture, now an exhibition centre, 10 kilometres from the Olympic Village in Beijing. Mojo Barriers supplied front of stage crowd safety barriers to ensure the safety of the 5,500 capacity crowd enjoying Dutch superstars Guus Meeuwis, Jan Smit and Van Velzen. The production was delivered by Dutch event specialists Sightline Productions B.V. “Sightline specified Mojo Barriers not only for the high quality of the product but for its flexibility,” says Patrick Jordan, Managing Director of Mojo Barriers. “Our ability to supply the equipment at long distance and for a lengthy period of time was a determining factor in winning the project.” |
